Its coming into Spring soon here in England which is usually a good season for walking. This year I want to walk the South Downs Way. Its been a while since I have done much walking although I did do the Vierdaagse in Nijimegen in 2005 which was challenging. Not since NZ have I really done much hiking or tramping as kiwi’s call it. I was lucky to have done a few hikes there in my younger days completing the Tongariro Crossing, Milford Track, Heaphy, Abel Tasman, Wangapeka, Routeburn, Kepler, Stewart Island and a few others. Living over in the UK we are planning on doing some walks hopefully this year in Austria to check out the Alpine Inns. I am hoping to scan some of the old photographs from my NZ tramping days on to this at some stage.
